Three Briarcliff Teams Compete in the Rube Goldberg Contest
Two teams - The Rowdy Crew & The Getaway - take First and Second Place at Engineering Expo at White Plains High School
Three Briarcliff teams competed in the Rube Goldberg Contest at the Engineering Expo at White Plains High School.
A Rube Goldberg machine is a device that uses a chain reaction to accomplish a very simple task in a very complicated manner. This year's task was to put money in a piggy bank. As Rube Goldberg's machines were whimsical as well as complicated, for the contest each team's machine needs to have theme as well. Briarcliff had two team of 7th grade boys, many of whom competed last year, and one team of 6th & 7th grade girls. Our Briarcliff teams came in first and second place!
First place, The Rowdy Crew: Toby Young, Gautam Gupta, Sebastian Uszynski, Colin Zhao
