Two Performing Arts Honor Societies Formed at Pleasantville High School
PHS students were inducted into the International Thespian Honor Society and the Tri-M Music Honor Society in separate ceremonies.
Four seniors and five juniors were inducted into the PHS troupe (chapter) of the International Thespian Honor Society on May 31. The charter members are Cullen Dirgins, Thomas Fischer, Carina Florio, Julia Hunt, James Persons, Aedan Roney, Katherine Stargiotti, Carter Tanis, and Ben Trombetta.
Membership qualifications include at least 100 hours of meritorious work in theatre arts, such as acting, directing, production, etc.
Thirty-seven students were inducted as the charter members of the Tri-M Music Honor Society in a ceremony held on June 5.

New members in grades 9, 10, and 11, who received membership cards and pins, are Lucy Allen, Charlotte Berg, James Blasdell, Daniel Bucci, Akimoto Cornelius, Craig Cropsey, Lydia DeCuffa, Julia Hunt, Shannon Kauber, Madison Kelly, Kyle Largey, Lucas Lee, Ethan Lin, Sonya McGaffey, Meghan McLane, Lyndsey Minerva, James Persons, Sydney Shulman-Arno, Andrew Skrzypczak, Katherine Stargiotti, Owen Stone, Anahita Subramanya, Carter Tanis, Sofia Tome, Benjamin Trombetta, and Philippe Yahia.
Senior inductees, who also received cords to be worn at graduation, are Kellie Allen, Tirdod Behbehani, Michael Bloom, Samantha D'Angelo, Marc Darmohraj, Carina Florio, Silpaa Gunabalan, Gregory Hunter, Alexander Malfa, Megha Patel, and Marisa Rodriguez.

Tri-M, a program of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), has over 1800 chapters across all 50 states. Its focus is on creating future leaders in music education and music advocacy.
