Two Ways To Shop: Walk Up & Preorder!
Pleasantville Farmers Market is open Saturday, 8:30am – 1:00pm

Pleasantville Farmers Market has implemented many ways to keep customers safe while they shop including setting products back so items cannot be touched, and creating physically spaced lines for walk up customers at our busiest vendors. These steps, combined with others like required mask use, have enabled the Market to be a safe pedestrian environment.
To further our health and safety goal for shoppers to get in and out quickly the Market has also developed Pleasantville Farmers Market Online (PFM-O). Currently, 18 vendors are participating. Payment is made with only a single click. A $5 order fee remains the same whether you order from 1 or from 18 vendors. Though our walk up lines for busiest vendors are well-spaced, now a percentage of customers can preorder for contactless pick up which will help all lines to be shorter and faster.
The walk-through, pedestrian aspect of the Market will continue to operate even as PFM-O begins. We're committed to ensuring that our vendor's products are available to all customers, no matter how they prefer to shop.

So, starting this Saturday, shoppers have two ways to shop, walk up and preorder. Paired together these offer flexibility, but they also will enable more customers to move efficiently through the Market each Saturday. And that helps us continue to safely support our producers and residents.

Colorful markings on the pavement at the Market July 4th? Those were created to support this week’s public launch of Pleasantville Farmers Market Online (PFM-O). Here's the scoop:
- Items ordered on PFM-O are collected at vendor’s tents. You’ll be emailed a list of ordered items. Skip the morning rush as your items are reserved!
- All participating vendors have a sign saying “Preorder From Me Online”.
- In front of vendors that typically lack significant lines "Walk Up Service & Preorder Pick Up" is painted on the pavement. PFM-O shoppers wait briefly with other walk up shoppers to collect their items from these vendors.
- Vendors having dedicated, sizeable walk up lines display a “Pick Up Preorders Here” sign above a yellow "Preorder Pick Up" box painted on the pavement - at these vendors you can skip the walk up line. Step in the box, then step away quickly after receiving your preorder.
Masks Are Mandatory & Other Guidelines To Shop
Help the Market remain a safe and efficient place to gather food. Masks are required to be worn while at the Market. Please send only one member of the family to shop. If arriving as a couple, bring enough reusable bags so you can splitting up shopping tasks. Do not use the Market at this time as a family outing as we must limit the number of people in the marketplace, and shopping is meant to be brief and purposeful. For more information about COVID-19 protocols for shoppers please click here. Your adherence to these shopping guidelines assists us in keeping the Market open to support residents and vendors alike.
Absolutely avoid the Market if you are sick. Especially so if you exhibit any symptoms of the COVID-19 virus (temperature of 100° or above, a cough, a sore throat, shortness of breath). The New York State Department of Health has set up a hotline at (888) 364-3065 where Department of Health experts are available to answer questions regarding COVID-19.

We're SO proud to announce that the Pleasantville Farmers Market has been voted Best Of Westchester by the readers of Westchester Magazine for a 7th year in a row (2014 - 2020). We thank our farmers and food artisans for their dedication in producing healthful food for our community. We thank the shoppers who support regional agriculture and shop for their families - none of this would work if you didn't arrive each week! And as I write this, being a market manager in a position to know, it is well worth thanking our volunteers and staff - untold hours are donated by Board members and community members to ensure this complex event goes off simply each week (or seems too). Despite all that we've faced this year so far, I know the commitment of our producers, shoppers, volunteers and staff has helped make Pleasantville Farmers Market stay on course. Thanks to all of you for giving the Market your best!
