The Village of Pleasantville Police Department is once again warning everyone to the dangers of scams targeting elderly residents. In these most recent incidents, the perpetrators responded personally to the victim’s home to retrieve the money.

We ask all of you to look out for your more-senior residents and initiate conversations with them. Encourage them to be proactive. A quick phone call to the relative in question can uncover the scam.

In addition, we encourage anyone who is suspicious of any interaction, with themselves or someone else, to call us here at the Police Department immediately at (914) 769-1500. The sooner we know of the situation, the more likely we are able to take positive action.
