The Pleasantville Police Department is investigating additional cases of people breaking into unlocked vehicles parked in private driveways. Over a dozen vehicles were entered around Skytop Drive and Summit Place on Monday night. On Saturday night a car was stolen from a driveway in Pleasantville, while three more were taken in New Castle.

PLEASE take the time to lock your vehicles after parking them in your driveway. This simple act is proven to protect your valuables. Even if you believe there is nothing in your car of any value, the ease with which these individuals can enter multiple cars in short order keeps them returning to our area looking for easy opportunities.
