A winter storm warning has been issued for the Pleasantville area beginning tonight and continuing into Saturday evening. The forecast is calling for 5 to 10 inches of snow.  

WHAT: Snow expected, 5-10"

WHERE: New York City, North East New Jersey, Southwest Connecticut, much of Lower Hudson Valley.

WHEN: Heavy snow developing tonight into Saturday, snow tapering into Saturday evening.  

IMPACTS: Difficult travel with blowing and drifting snow.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Powdery snow, dropping into the teen to around 20 degrees tonight and holding through Saturday night.  Snowfall up to 1"/hour, possible.  35-45mph winds. Strongest winds from Saturday morning into Saturday evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS: Avoid travel if possible.
