From NY Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation: Come join our ecological stewardship team at Rockefeller Preserve on Tuesday, September 26 at 8 am. We’ll be cutting invasive vines and shrubs, and planting and caring for native wildflowers.

Our stewards will be teaching what we’re doing every step of the way. No experience is necessary to join. The event begins at the Preserve Welcome Center at 8 am. RSVP to Julia at Julia.jardine@parks.ny.gov. You are invited to bring your questions about the Preserve’s ecology, management, history, and anything else!

Rockefeller State Park Preserve was created through several farsighted and generous gifts to the State of New York by the Rockefeller Family since 1983. It is designated as a “park-preserve” to highlight and protect its natural, historical, and cultural values. Its network of carriage trails wind through scenic forests, fields, and wetlands, which provide important habitat for native plants and wildlife.
