Pleasantville School District's 2014-15 budget of $47,416,277 was approved on Tuesday, May 20, by a wide margin - 740 yes to 333 no. Voters also supported the Capital Project bond referendum ($4,065,000), 678 yes to 315 no. An Advisory Proposition on the Alternative Veterans Tax Exemption received 679 yes votes and 291 no votes. Additionally, incumbent Louis Conte and newcomer Angela Vella were elected to the Board of Education. Mr. Conte received 784 votes; Ms. Vella, 814. A total of 1,113 votes were cast.
