Water Main Break in Pleasantville, Street Closed

The issue was discovered Sunday night.

Marble Avenue in Pleasantville is closed to traffic due to a sinkhole and large water main break, the Journal News reports. The issue was discovered just after 11 p.m. when residents in the area complained about low water pressure.

Crews are on scene making repairs. Pleasantville Superintendent of Public Works Jeff Econom told the paper a stretch of Marble Avenue may have no water pressure for up to four hours and the entire village may experience low water pressure during that time.
