WEEKLY Winter Market (rain, or shin, or brrrrr!)
Place preorders from our vendors Tues, 7:00pm – Thurs, 7:00pm. Then walk up Saturday, 9:00am - 11:30pm, to gather preorders and shop further

Tuesday, 7:00pm (tonight!) Pleasantville Farmers Market Online reopens with ALL vendors and ALL products available for preorder -- including items from new Hilly Acres Farm (beef, poultry, pork, lamb, eggs). Saturday the Market kicks off its 3rd outdoor winter season, and 11th winter as a weekly, year-round venue for you to stay connected with the producers you love. After all, since we eat weekly, and shop weekly, it only makes sense the Market is open weekly!
PLEASE PREORDER!
Do you have to preorder to shop the Market in winter? No, you don’t – though we strongly recommend it! This is especially true if you’ll be shopping for apples and greens, which must be protected from the cold. Preordering guarantees that you’ll get everything you want, and prepayment means you’re in and out fast and can keep your gloves on.

What about pricing? Prices are the same for walk-up and preorder. Let us know if you ever see discrepancies so we can resolve any issues.
What about parking, which now costs money? The Village implemented paid parking in Memorial Plaza to address turnover and make all downtown lots the same price. However, there are 6 free lots within a short walk, and we encourage their use to save money and reduce congestion. Get to know the alternate lots with this convenient map.

Lead Sponsor Phelps Hospital Northwell Health shares the following: "Bone-loving nutrients go beyond calcium. Bones need magnesium, vitamin B12, vitamin C, vitamin D and vitamin K. Get these nutrients from a variety of foods offered at the Market including cheeses, eggs, Brussels sprouts, arugula, mesclun, spinach, baby kale and "oily" fish."
VENDOR HIGHLIGHTS
This Saturday we introduce new weekly vendor Hilly Acres Farm with a wide selection of affordably priced beef, poultry, pork and lamb items produced by them on their family farm in the Catskills. They keep Rhode Island Red hens for fresh brown eggs too. Browse PFM-O to get to know all their offerings.
Merchant’s Daughter Ciderworks is offering a 20% off SALE on their 750ml bottle of Semi Dry Hard Cider! Stock up with the holidays right around the corner. Merchant’s Daughter hard cider is perfectly crisp and bubbly, and makes a great gift for all the foodies on your list this season.
Maple View Farms is highlighting their mesclun this week - a wonderful blend of all the sweet fresh greens that grow in our winter climate. Grown in unheated high tunnels and sweetened by frosts, Maple View's mesclun features a mix of lesser known but really tasty greens such as miners lettuce, tatsoi, mustard greens, cress and lettuces. Note: winter's colder days will limit the items that can be displayed, so for best selection preorder and Maple View will keep your tender greens safe and warm in their van until you arrive at the Market.
Alpacatrax will visit (weather permitting, raindate 12/17) with skeins of wool and finished items made with wool -- all from their herd of alpacas. Check out hats, scarves, mittens, socks and more for your winter needs and for the upcoming gifting season.
3x3 Kitchen Provisions will be in Saturday. They'll have a selection of items for walk up shopping but you can help them know exactly what you need for the week by preordering. Their PFM-O store is full of wheat-free loaves (sourdough, challah, multigrain, olive & rosemary and more), and items from their savory and sweet menu including quiche, carrot & tumeric muffins, sauerkraut & porcini turnovers, apple lavender turnovers, ginger snaps, and apple pie!
In winter Mead Orchards has all their apple varieties available by preorder in PFM-O, and may have a small sample for walk up purchases on Saturdays depending on the weather. For best selection, ease of pick up, and plenty of their apple or apple/cherry cider preorder!
SOVA Farm will offer hot sausage sandwiches in December, using their chicken or turkey sausage. This week will be turkey sausage, served on a roll by 3x3 Kitchen Provisions, warmed piping hot for a winter bite at the Market. Optionally, purchase some SOVA Farm sausages to take home, along with any of their other Certified Organic poultry items.
Each week Gajeski Produce will have items for walk up shoppers (selection will vary depending on cold temps) and all their items are in PFMO including fresh herbs, stored squash, potatoes, roots veggies, fresh scallions, leeks, greens, lettuce mixes, and more.
This week Spice Revolution is featuring their Holiday Spice Bundle gift sets. Each set contains two spice blends and a wooden spice scoop. Perfect little gift or stocking stuffer. Choose from sets of refill pouches or small glass jars. Packaged in a compostable gift bag ready to be gifted. Check out all the options in PFM-O tonight!
Cooper's Daughter Spirits produces numerous unique distilled items. They're highlighting their Mulled Peach Whiskey, made with real Hudson Valley peaches and NY raw honey -- perfect for hot toddies, sours, and whiskey mules.
In December Edgwick Farm will finish out 2022 season (before a January "break" to kid over 100 baby goats) with hard goat cheeses (ie Moodna Goat Milk Feta, Funny Child Ale Washed Hard Cheese), some popular soft goat cheese options, and holiday specials of sweet or savory cheeseballs, and chocolate goat cheese truffles.
Conant Valley Jams will have their Cranberry & Apple Chutney this week, great as a sweet/tart glaze for your holiday ham, or a great compliment to your Hanukkah potato latkes. All Conant's items make great stocking stuffers or nightly Hanukkah gifts.
Ed Trotta of Trotta Foods also is introducing a new item, Petroni Vincotta, a dark, sweet, thick (a non-alcoholic) syrup traditionally produced in rural areas of Italy. Made by the slow reduction of grape juice, similar to a sweet in flavor of a balsamic glaze, Vincotta can be used as a dressing, for glazing meats or chicken, and as a drizzle over fruit and dairy based desserts.
Heads up from Teagevity, the holidays are a great time to stock up on their top three herbal fruit teas: Hibiscus Pineapple, Blood Orange & Hibiscus and/or Strawberry Fields.
Choose your loaves and sweet treats from Orwasher's Bakery or Bien Cuit -- each will have a selection of items for walk up shoppers, and an even fuller selection of their artisanal items in PFM-O for preorder.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Metered Parking in Plaza lot:
The Village of Pleasantville's Memorial Plaza parking lot requires payment on Saturdays. For the most convenient way to pay, download the free Pango app today and follow the prompts to set up an account and method of payment. If you prefer free parking get to know the "hidden parking lots of P'ville" (6 out of 9 lots are free) by clicking here.
Avoid the Market if you're sick.

Market Bucks:
Any Market Bucks you have from our spring/summer/fall season can be used throughout the winter with any vendor. We do pause providing new Market Bucks until April when our Manager's Tent returns. Note: vendors take credit cards for purchases and accept cash of course -- easiest of all, avoid payment at the Market by preordering.
Using SNAP at the Market:
The Pleasantville Farmers Market welcomes shoppers using SNAP EBT. To use SNAP benefits during winter locate the Market Manager who will help you redeem your benefits as tokens. THANKS to a generous grant from Market Sponsor The Pleasantville Lions Club, you'll receive 40% more value as "Bonus Bucks", enhancing your ability to purchase nutritious, farm fresh foods for you and your family.
