Pleasantville Farmers Market is open Saturday, 8:30am - 1:00pm

School's in session, and lunches are being packed to go. Can they remain fun, healthy and source the Market's fresh, seasonal foods? Sure! You can help kids to learn smart food decisions by striving toward these goals. Keep things simple. Integrate heirloom tomatoes, apples, pears, carrots, cheese, eggs, whole grain bread, peanut butter, jelly/jam, quiche and more into your school lunch plans. All these items are present at the Pleasantville Farmers Market. You can find additional dietary advice for children from resources like eatright.org.
Saturday visitors will find our 2nd Annual Electric Vehicle Showcase displayed at the Market's south end (8:30am-12:30pm). Volunteers from ARC Stages will be tabling in the marketplace to highlight their new production Private Eyes (8:30am-12:30pm). The Educational Stage of ARC Stages will host a theater games workshop in the Kids Event area (9:30am-11:00am). And the Pleasantville Farmers Market Music Series presents rumba, flamenco, and Afro-Cuban rhythms by the guitar duo Gimagua (10:00am-12:00pm). Mums Have Arrived
Simply Planted will have mums for sale in all colors. Sizes range from from 6" to 16" and also some hanging combo baskets.
Who Has Eggs?
Campanelli's Poultry Farm and Wright's Farm do, and they're located toward the north of the marketplace. Yellow Bell Farm provides fresh eggs and is located near the south entrance to the Market. And Cowberry Crossing Farm carries a small supply of eggs produced on their Certified Organic and Biodymanic farm.

2nd Annual Electric Vehicle Showcase
This Saturday the Market will host an Electric Vehicle Showcase. From 8:30am-12:30pm the group Drive Electric (Westchester), and the annual National Drive Electric Week, will present the Showcase which will include a Tesla Model X (SUV), Tesla Model S, Chevy Bolt, and Nissan Leaf. See the electric vehicles, talk to owners and learn more about electric vehicles from members of our local Westchester Electric Vehicle Group. Make driving more electrifying with an electric vehicle!
Kids Market Sprouts Activity: 9:30am - 11:00am
Join the Educational Stage of Arc Stages for an open theater games workshop. Children are invited to sample some of our favorite theater games that teach cues, commitment, teamwork, and acting technique, while having lots of fun!
