Work Week Weather: Much Cooler in Briarcliff, Pleasantville

The summer heat and humidity of last week fell away over the weekend and will stay away through the week ahead.

“Some much cooler temperatures remain locked in the Hudson Valley…,” said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

That’s much cooler: only up to the mid-70s by Friday.

It’ll be wet, to start out—a Flash Flood Watch was issued at 4:20 a.m. Monday through Tuesday evening—clearing up at midweek with clouds returning at the end of the work week.

• Today-Cloudy. A chance of showers with isolated thunderstorms this morning...then showers likely with a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall. Cooler with highs in the lower 60s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.
• Tonight-Showers with a chance of thunderstorms in the evening... Then showers with isolated thunderstorms after midnight. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall. Lows in the lower 50s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent.
• Tuesday-Rain. Rain may be heavy at times. Highs in the mid 60s. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent.
• Tuesday Night-Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers in the evening...then clear after midnight. Lows in the upper 40s. North winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
• Wednesday-Sunny. Highs around 70. Northeast winds around 5 mph... Becoming east in the afternoon.
• Wednesday Night-Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 50s.
• Thursday-Partly sunny. Highs in the lower 70s.
