Your Weekend: Cycle for Survival; PCS Palooza Week

Check out some of the local events happening in Pleasantville and Briarcliff Manor this weekend:

Where/When:  on Saturday, March 17 at 2:30 p.m.

Why go: seventh graders Rebecca Strauss and Alex Murdoh are fundraising for Cycle for Survival through an indoor cycling event that will benefit the research of rare cancers at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

Pricing: $25

Where/When: , beginning Sunday, March 18 at 5 p.m.

Why go: PCS is hosting its second annual Palooza Week from March 18 to 24. On Sunday, from 5 to 7 p.m., there will be a kids' movie and pizza night, as well as a parent's social night out (childcare included). Other activities during the week include yoga, meditation, Shabbat dinner, lectures, meet the rabbi and more. Click for a full list of events.

Think Fit for Kids

Where/When: on Sunday, March 18 from 1:30 to 5 p.m.

Why go: Enjoy a day of music and entertainment for the whole family. The day will raise money to cure children's brain tumors. Activities include family yoga and family Zumba (open to all ages), family spin (participants must be at least 12 years old and a minimum of 4'8"), access to workout facilities (must be 18 or older) teen basketball, games and relays (5-11 year olds) Mommy and Me Classes (4 months to 4-year-olds).

Price:  Suggested minimum donation: $100 per adult participant, $50 per child participant

Casino for the Cause

Where/When: on Saturday, March 17 at 7 p.m.

Why go: The Fairfield/Westchester Chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation is hosting its annual Casino for the Cause event. Enjoy a night of gaming, cocktails, dancing and food at the Trump National Golf Club while support the CCFA.

Pricing: $250

Top Hat

Where/When: on Saturday, March 17 and Sunday, March 18 at 12 p.m.

Why go: JBFC's "Movies for Kids and Their Families" series continues with the 1935 Top Hat, a Fred Astaire and Gingers Rogers classic featuring classic music. The film is 81 minutes long.

Pricing: $11 nonmember adults, $6.50 nonmember children, $6 members
