Eyes of March: Visions of Spring Art Show Opening Reception

Where/When: on Saturday, March 3 from 3 to 6 p.m.

Why go: Art by members of the Ossining Arts Council (OAC) will be on display on the library's second floor as spring approaches. There will be a reception for the exhibit on Saturday, which features paintings, photography and sculpture. The exhibit will be on display from March 1 to 31, 2012. 2012 Oscar-Nominated Animated Shorts

Where/When: on Thursday, March 1 at 5:30 p.m.

Why go: JBFC is hosting an 80-minute show of this year's Academy Award animated short fim nominees Thursday evening, including the winner: The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore, as well as Sunday/Dimanche, La Luna, A Morning Stroll and Wild Life.
