On the 12th Day of Christmas, We Realize We Need More Days

Don Bosco Workers celebrate, highlight businesses that took the 'Good Workplace' pledge

In the United States, the 12 days of Christmas are a period of feasting, merrymaking and gift-giving, when it is traditional to express one’s love for family and community. The people of Don Bosco Workers in Port Chester are marking the season by highlighting one or two local business on each of the 12 days between Christmas Day and Three Kings Day on January 6. It’s our way of expressing appreciation to those companies that have signed our Good Workplace pledge to pay all workers fairly and to support our campaign to end wage theft.

Today we salute Acuario Peruvian Restaurant, located at 163 North Main Street, and its neighbor down the block at 34 North Main, the Salvation Army Family Thrift Store. Thanks to both of these great businesses for being Good Workplaces and supporting fair the treatment of working people..

Remember, wage theft hurts workers AND businesses. #noPayNoWay. For more information visit www.donboscoworkers.org.
