Linda Ventura and Robert Vitti are the students' local music instructors.

Nine Port Chester High School students recently were selected to participate in the annual New York State School Music Association’s (NYSSMA) Area All-State Music Festival, according to school officials.

High school musicians from Westchester County were selected for the Area All-State Festival based on their audition at last spring’s NYSSMA Solo Evaluation Festival. Students will attend three rehearsals in the weeks prior to their performance.

The festival will be held at the Performing Arts Center at Purchase College on Thursday, November 5, at 8:00 p.m.
