Alex Payan Candidate for Port Chester Village Trustee

Payan is deeply committed to the well-being, development, and future success of Port Chester

Alex Payan announced today his candidacy for Village of Port Chester Trustee. “It would be an honor for me to become a Trustee for the Village of Port Chester. I am proud to be part of a community that fosters and reflects its diversity through the united and varied mix of individuals, families, businesses, and restaurants. At the root of our village is the Village Board, where we interact, exchange ideas, and keep moving Port Chester forward - yes, this is definitely a board I want to be a part of,” stated Payan.

Payan is an alumnus of the Port Chester School District, having attended Thomas A. Edison School, Port Chester Middle School, and Port Chester High School. His academic journey continued at Pace University where he graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Management. While Payan was earning his undergraduate degree, he was invited to join the Delta Chapter of Alpha Beta Gamma – an International Business Honor Society. Payan furthered his education at Manhattanville College, where he graduated with Kappa Delta Pi Honors and earned both a M.S. in Professional Studies and a M.S. in Educational Studies. With a passion for learning, Payan continues his studies at New York University in a Post-Master Advanced Program in Education, expecting to graduate in 2018. Furthering his business knowledge, Payan is also studying at Long Island University where he plans to graduate later this year with a Master’s of Business Administration in Management. In addition, Payan continues to broaden his leadership skills at Manhattanville College pursuing a M.S. in Business Leadership, with an anticipated graduation date of 2017. Payan upholds his passion for education, not only as a student but also as an educator, putting to use his Master’s Degree in TESOL M.P.S. as an adjunct ESL teacher at both Norwalk Community College and EF International Language Center.

Payan is deeply committed to the well-being, development, and future successes of Port Chester and its residents – both young and old alike. With a desire of moving Port Chester Forward, it is of no surprise that Payan excels in his current position as Director for Port Chester Cares. A community coalition, whose members work together to promote a positive, safe, productive, and healthy lifestyle for individuals, families, and children. Utilizing his leadership skills, Payan guides multiple sectors of the coalition in the design, coordination, planning, implementing, and evaluation of community wide prevention efforts.
