Away from Rye Brook for the Holidays? Have the Police Check on Your House

RYE BROOK, NY — Your Rye Brook home could be safer while you are away by place your house on the Rye Brook Police Vacant House list online.

According to information from the Rye Brook Police Department, go to the Rye Brook village website and fill out the Vacant House Watch Request Form and then submit it by email.

The house must be vacant for more than three days with no one checking on it while you are away.

A vacant house check consists of an officer checking on your resident and the surrounding area for any suspicious activity at random times as time permits, police said.
