A Beatlemania Takeover In Ed Sullivan's Hometown

The Beatles tribute band The Sun Kings will headline this year's Port Chester Day, but the fun will start long before the British Invasion.

PORT CHESTER, NY — This year's 32nd Annual Port Chester Day has something for everyone, including an impressive lineup of live music, food trucks, vendors and games.

The celebration of all things Port Chester kicks off at noon at Lyons Park on Saturday. In addition to local bands, a sampling of Port Chester's best cuisine and free children's rides, there will also be representatives from the Clay Art Center on hand with a kids clay activity table and staff to answer questions about classes and upcoming events.

Anastasia Marcos opens the festival with the national anthem at noon. Performances are scheduled to last all day long. The Bel-Aires who last played in Lyon Park in July 2019, will be returning to the Port Chester Day stage from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. with upbeat music from the 50s and 60s. The Annie Mash Trio will play from 6:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. Annie is described as " a simply amazing drummer and singer." Her Trio will be playing the best of 60s and 70s classic rock.

Headliners, The Sun Kings, a Beatles tribute band, will wrap up the festivities with a performance that might remind festivalgoers of Port Chester from the 1960s when the village's native son, Ed Sullivan, first introduced American television audiences to a band of kids from Liverpool, England.
