Update: Rye Man Found Dead Behind Port Chester School Is ID'd
Police Chief Richard Conway has released a updated statement about the discovery.
Updated at 4:12 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015: Port Chester Police Chief Richard Conway released the following statement Friday afternoon identifying the man found dead behind Corpus Christi-Holy Rosary School.
On February 20, 2015 at approximately 7:27 am, Port Chester Police responded to a report of an unconscious male in the parking lot of 134 South Regent Street. Upon arrival patrol units and EMS personnel discovered the partially clothed body of Emery Stewart, age 31, of 95 Maple Ave. Rye. No outward signs of violence were observed. Stewart was pronounced dead by PCREMS paramedics at 7:31 am. Port Chester Police, the Westchester County Medical Examiner, and the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office are investigating the Case.

Upon arrival patrol units and EMS personnel discovered the partially clothed body of a 31 year old Port Chester man who’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. No outward signs of violence were observed. The subject was pronounced dead by PCREMS paramedics at 7:31 am. Port Chester Police, the Westchester County Medical Examiner, and the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office are investigating the Case.
