DOBBS FERRY, NY – Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. –Westchester Alumnae Chapter is dedicated to recognizing the achievements of young African American women in the Westchester community. For the last 40 years WAC has awarded over $240,000 in scholarships, for young deserving ladies from the county. The scholarship recipients are selected based on their scholastic achievement and community service involvement.

Westchester Alumnae Chapter also works with young ladies in the mentorship groups, Delta Academy (ages 11-14) and Delta GEMS (ages 14-18). We work with these young ladies throughout the year, instilling confidence, facilitating personal workshops, and preparing them to be leaders in the community and beyond. These intelligent and bright young women are recognized for their commitment to the program, their academic achievement and community service efforts.

The Scholarship Reception is a celebration of hard work and dedication. It is important to nourish our seeds of today, as they will grow and become our leaders of tomorrow.
