On September 4, 2015 a Harrison resident reported to police that a man was stealing political signs in the Purchase area of Harrison. Police learned the suspect fled Purchase in a red Ford truck.
Investigation led to the suspect’s vehicle, which was parked on Prospect Street in Port Chester. Upon arrival, police watched a man remove political signs from the truck and carry them into a garage.

The man, Krzsztof P. Zawadzki, was apprehended by Harrison police department and charged with Larceny.
About 100 political signs were recovered from the truck and the man’s garage.

Signs that were stolen were from: Mayor Ron Belmont, Councilman Joe Cannella, Judge Marc Lust, Judge Nelson Canter, Judge Brandon Sall, Philip Marraccini, Mark Jaffe, Pasquale Gizzo, Ronald Bianchi and the Lindsey 5k walk.
All signs have been returned to all candidates and owners, police said.
