Mill Street Bridge To Be Closed for Paving
The bridge and nearby roads in Byram are scheduled to be paved on Tuesday.

For drivers making the border run between Byram and Port Chester will need more time come Tuesday as the Greenwich Highway Division will be paving the Mill Street Bridge and nearby streets.
The Mill Street Bridge will be closed to traffic from 6 to 8 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, according to Greenwich Police.
Police said motorists will be detoured to Route 1 to Byram Road to Frontage Road to Delavan Avenue.

“There will be detour signs, officers directing traffic as well as flagmen” in the area, according to Lt. Kraig Gray.
Once the bridge is repaved, crews will move onto nearby streets for paving, causing intermittent lane closures, Gray said.

Last week, crews milled the pavement of both North and South Water streets.
