Office Building Proposed To Be Torn Down For Senior Housing

RYE BROOK, NY — The Village of Rye Brook could be seeing construction of housing for seniors built on the site of a mostly vacant office building at 900 King St. A zoning change has been applied for by Rye King Associates to construct a 17-acre senior care facility.

An attorney for the developer said the facility would be a mix of townhouses, two-bedroom apartments and a “memory care” unit, the Journal News said. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)

An age restriction would be applied to the apartments and townhouses.
