Pajama Program Donation Drive Hosted at Westy Self Storage
Westy continues its support of the Pajama Program by hosting a donation drive at its Port Chester location.
Westy Self Storage continues its support of the Pajama Program by hosting a donation drive at its Port Chester location. The drive will run until November 15.
Pajama Program provides new pajamas and new books to children in need nationwide, many of whom are waiting to be adopted. These children live in group homes, shelters and temporary housing facilities and are shuffled often from one place to another. Many of them have been abandoned, abused or neglected. Most of these children have never enjoyed the simple comfort of having a parent tuck them in at bedtime with warm, clean pajamas and a bedtime story. Some of the children are living with their families below the poverty level, in desperate need of food, clothing and shelter. These two simple gifts of pajamas and books let the children know that someone cares - sometimes these are the only new things they have ever received.
Please help these children in need by dropping off a donation at Westy Self Storage in Port Chester, located at 299 Boston Post Road, in the Whole Foods Shopping Center. Items for collection are limited to new pajamas for boys and girls of all ages and new children’s books. For more information on the Pajama Program, please visit www.pajamaprogram.org.

“We are grateful to Westy Self Storage for their support and dedication to helping others,” said Janet Estevez-Filardi, Chapter Co-President, Pajama Program. “A pair of new, clean pajamas and a book for bedtime means so much to children who have so little.”
Westy is open for drop off 7 days a week. Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays. Call 914-935-3333 or visit www.westy.com for directions. “It is with great pride that we host a donation drive to assist the Pajama Program,” said Joe Schweyer, District Director of Westy Self Storage. “No child should go without these basic necessities, especially during such a difficult time in their lives.”
