Parking Meter Rates, Fines To Increase In Port Chester

The village trustees unanimously approved the new rates and fines.

PORT CHESTER, NY — If you are planning to park your car in Port Chester, be prepared to pay more. New laws will go into effect June 1 and were unanimously approved by the village’s trustees at a recent meeting.

The Journal News said the village will up parking meter rates from $1 per hour to $1.25 per hour, and parking fines will increase, too.

For example, according to the local law, getting a ticket for an expired meter will go up from $25 to $35, as would being 12 inches or more from the curb.
