Police Release Identity Of Victim In Deadly Early Morning Boston Post Road Crash

A 21-year-old woman was ejected from her vehicle after it struck a utility pole, early this morning in Port Chester.

PORT CHESTER, NY — An early morning tragedy in Westchester County is being probed by accident investigators.

The Village of Port Chester said that around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the Port Chester Police Department and Port Chester-Rye-Rye Brook EMS responded to Boston Post Road, in the area of Olivia Street, after receiving a report of a motor vehicle accident.

Once at the scene, officers found a single-vehicle crash, where the female driver had been ejected from the vehicle after it struck a utility pole.

After her family was notified, authorities have identified the victim as 21-year-old Amy Josabeth Munguia, a resident of Port Chester.

Boston Post Road was closed to traffic until around 8:30 a.m. during emergency response operations and the investigation.

"The Village of Port Chester extends its sincere and deepest condolences to the family of Amy Josabeth Munguia," the village said in a social media post. "Please keep this Port Chester family in your thoughts."

The village thanked the Port Chester Police Department and Port Chester-Rye-Rye Brook EMS "for their distinguished service to our village and all our residents."
