POLL: Will Burnett Come Through in Critical Start for Yanks?
Two weeks ago, it looked like A.J. Burnett wouldn't even have a spot on the postseason roster. Now, he takes the mound for the Yankees in their most critical game to date.

A.J. Burnett gave up more than five runs per start this season, at times looking so lost on the mound that it looked doubtful he'd even get the ball in first round of the playoffs.
But after a series of Detroit wins -- including last night's pounding of Yankee ace C.C. Sabathia -- the Yankees have no choice but to put their season in the hands of the 34-year-old starter, who has more losses than wins as a Yankee.
The Yankees will try to extend the series at Detroit tonight, with the first pitch slated for 8:37 p.m. They'll try to avoid the outcome in a similar series in 2006, when Detroit bested New York in four games en route to a pennant.
