Port Chester Family Bound With Duct Tape During Armed Home Invasion

Police don't think the incident was random.

PORT CHESTER, NY — A Port Chester family of five were bound with duct tape and held at gunpoint Wednesday during a home invasion by two men.

Felix Veras, a deli owner, was arriving at his Madison Avenue home around 12:30 p.m. when the men jumped and pistol-whipped him as he got out of his car, abc7ny.com said.

The suspects, who police are searching for, asked for money and demanded his safe be opened.

News 12 said the men got away with jewelry and watches and that police believe it was not a random act.
