Port Chester HS Musicians to Perform at All-State Festival

The students were chosen based on last spring's auditions.

PORT CHESTER, NY — Port Chester High School will be sending eight students to the annual New York State School Music Association’s Area All-State Music Festival.

High school musicians were selected for the festival based on their auditions at last spring’s NYSSMA Solo Evaluation Festival, according to a district spokeswoman.

Gisella McCallion, soprano; Taylor Masi, alto, and Robert Perrone, tenor, were selected to sing with the Area All-State Mixed Choir. Elizabeth Montemurro, soprano, and Isabella Rios, alto, were chosen to sing with the Area All-State Women’s Choir. Linda Ventura is their school vocal music teacher.

William Brakewood, trumpet; Derrick Torres, tuba, and Cameron Gutierrez, snare drum, were chosen to perform with the Area All-State Band. Their school band director is Robert Vitti.
