PORT CHESTER, NY — A senseless act of vandalism overnight will cost taxpayers money, but village officials said the damage runs far deeper.

The damage was discovered in the shoppers parking lot, at the corner of Adee St. and King St., early Thursday morning.

Images posted by the village on social media show parts of the glass enclosure, in place to protect shoppers from the elements while paying for parking, were completely shattered.
