Port Chester School Evacuated Briefly Friday

Police were there about 25 minutes before the cause was ascertained.

PORT CHESTER, NY — A school in Port Chester was briefly evacuated Friday because of a steam pipe leak. Officials said the Early Learning Center on Central Avenue was evacuated shortly before noon.

Police responded and were there about 25 minutes while the cause was determined, the Journal News said.
