Port Chester Woman Accused of Making Up Stolen Car Story
She submitted a written statement to the police.

PORT CHESTER, NY — State Police arrested a Port Chester woman Wednesday for falsely reporting her vehicle had been stolen.
Tanya L. Torello, 34, was charged with making a false written statement, a misdemeanor.
Police said she gave a written statement to the police that her vehicle had been stolen by an unknown person, but an investigation into the matter determined it had not been stolen.

Torello was issued an appearance ticket to return to the Village of Port Chester Court Jan. 19.
