Reward Offered In Port Chester Hit-and-run

The woman police are looking for was driving a light-colored or silver SUV.

PORT CHESTER, NY — A 78-year-old man was hit by a car in Port Chester Tuesday and the driver took off without stopping. The hit-and-run occurred around 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said Jose Cortes was crossing North Main Street when an SUV driven by a woman hit him, News 12 said.

According to New York State Crime Stoppers, which is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the woman, said she was described as having light skin and dark hair.

She was driving a light-colored or silver SUV believed to be a Ford Explorer or Expedition.

The vehicle fled the scene on to Highland Avenue.
