Teen Who Died After Falling In Elevator Shaft Identified
Counselors are available to help students and staff cope with the loss.

PORT CHESTER, NY — The teenager who died after falling down an elevator shaft in the former United Hospital building Tuesday in Port Chester was identified as Chris Aguilar, 14, a ninth-grader at Port Chester High School. Several of his friends witnessed his fall, Port Chester Schools Superintendent Edward Kliszus said in an email, and they were offered counseling services either at school or at home.
Counselors would be available through Friday at the school for staff and others students who might need help coping with the tragedy, lohud.com said.
During the rescue effort Tuesday, a member of the Westchester County Police Emergency Services Unit was injured with cuts and bruises while being lowered four floors to get a harness on Aguilar.
