The Great Escape: Ride Your Bike on the Bronx River Parkway
Take the kids out for a bike ride this Sunday afternoon on the Bronx River Parkway.

It's kind of like Cosmo Kramer's highway "luxury lanes," but with bikes.
If you've ever cruised on a highway and daydreamed about having it all to yourself, Sunday's your chance. The Bronx River Parkway is reserved for bike riders, with no cars allowed.
The parkway will be closed from the Westchester County Center in White Plains to Scarsdale Road in Yonkers. With the parkway reserved between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., there's plenty of time to make a circuit on the seven-mile stretch.

It's a great family activity, whether you're looking for some fresh air or a clear lane to let the little ones practice without training wheels. Parking is available at the Westchester County Center lot for $5.
