DECLARATION OF LOCAL STATE OF EMERGENCYA State of Emergency is hereby extended in the Village of Port Chester for the period beginning on Monday September 2, 2021, at 5:01 p.m. and ending on Friday September 3, 2021, at 5:00 p.m.The state of emergency has been declared due to severe flooding and excessive infrastructure damage caused by Tropical Storm Ida. As the Village Manager, I exercise the authority given me under Section 24 of the New York Executive Law, Article 2-B, to preserve the public safety and hereby render all required and available assistance vital to the security, well-being, and health of the residents of the Village.   I hereby direct all departments of the Village of Port Chester to take whatever steps necessary to protect life and property, public infrastructure and provide such emergency assistance deemed necessary.   Local emergency orders may be made hereafter as situations warrant.
