VOLUNTEER NEW YORK! ANNOUNCES 2015 SUMMER VOLUNTEERING PROGRAM
Dozens of Volunteer Opportunities for Teens and Young Adults Will Be Available Throughout Westchester, Rockland and Putnam this Summer.
The Summer Volunteering Program from Volunteer New York! features dozens of seasonal youth and family friendly opportunities. Individuals can now find information about summer volunteering options that support a range of nonprofits atwww.volunteernewyork.org/summer, as well as search through an online database of hundreds more. There are leadership opportunities, as well as ways to address specific causes, such as: Hunger-Relief, Senior Care, Environment, Animals, Education, Health, Community, the Arts and more.
“Over a quarter of our volunteer connections take place during the summer when students are out of school and looking for opportunities and experiences that will help their future,” said Elena Deforest, Volunteer New York! Referral Manager.

Saturdays in Westchester Parks
Spend every third saturday of the month from May through October volunteering in 1 of 50 Westchester parks.

Host a Diaper Drive
Last September the Junior League of Central Westchester created the first Westchester County Diaper Bank with support from Westchester County, which provides diapers to women and children in need. Supprt Westchester’s Diaper Bank and host a drive in your community, school, company to make sure they always have the diapers they need for the families that need them.
