Wayne To Retire As Head Of Family Services

She's been president and CEO since 2008.

From Family Services of Westchester: Family Services of Westchester (FSW) has announced the retirement of Susan B. Wayne, President and CEO since 2008.

“Susan Wayne has been instrumental in shaping FSW into the outstanding organization it is today,” said Lisa Copeland, FSW Board Chair. “The entire Westchester nonprofit community has benefitted from her leadership.”

Ms. Wayne began her tenure at FSW in 1996 as a clinical social worker and held the positions of Senior Director of Mental Health Services and Vice President of Community Based Programs prior to becoming President and CEO. Wayne has also played a leadership role in the broader Westchester nonprofit community. She served as founding Board Chair of Nonprofit Westchester, the county’s leading advocacy organization for nonprofits and currently chairs the Westchester County Department of Mental Health Community Services Board.

“It has been my great honor to serve an organization that is deeply committed to improving the lives of people throughout Westchester County. FSW has talented and dedicated staff members who work to advance our mission each and every day,” said Ms. Wayne. “I am confident that the Board of Directors will choose a new leader who will maintain FSW’s long-held values while taking the organization to new heights.”

Ms. Wayne’s retirement takes effect June 30, 2018. In the coming months, the FSW Board of Directors will form a committee to choose the next leader for the organization. Senior Vice President of Program Operations Polly Kerrigan has been named Acting President and CEO to oversee the transition.
