Times … and dates: Aug. 27 to Sept. 3, 2026 (tbrnewsmedia.com) — Port Jefferson residents have a packed week of nearby happenings, including Thursday's free Harborside concert on the ferry dock and Saturday's Suffolk County Senior Health Expo at the Port Jefferson Village Center. You'll also find details on the Long Island Comedy Festival at Theatre Three, the Port Jefferson Outdoor Farmers Market schedule, and other regional fairs, concerts, and theater.
3. Long Island Comedy Festival Brings All-Star Show to Theatre Three in Port Jefferson (town.news) — Port Jefferson is hosting the Long Island Comedy Festival's All Star Show at Theatre Three this Saturday, Aug. 29, at 8 p.m., bringing five stand-up comics to 412 Main Street. Residents can enjoy big-name Long Island and national comedians without heading into the city, and easily pair the show with dinner or a stroll through downtown's shops and waterfront.
4. Center Moriches Adds Dobbs Ferry After Football Cancellation (southshorepress.com) — Port Jefferson's inability to field a football team for 2026 has forced the cancellation of its season, giving opponents automatic forfeit wins. Center Moriches, originally slated to open against Port Jefferson on Sept. 4, has instead scheduled a home game with Dobbs Ferry that same day, keeping its opening weekend active while still receiving the forfeit points.
