Amusing Interaction at a Blinking Light

So I'm proceeding slowly and correctly through the blinking yellow light (do not stop, but proceed slowly) and as I pass the driver at the blinking red side (equal to stop sign) she gives me a look of disbelief as if I went through a red light or stop sign.

I was amused, so I gave her a look of incredulity in response to her look of disdain.

A minor incident, for sure, but we ARE supposed to STOP at the blinking red light and PROCEED SLOWLY through the blinking yellow NOT stop at the yellow.  

Maybe putting up signs to explain this and tell people what is correct would help.
