Captain Selah S. Brewster was an extremely successful mariner. Master of several vessels, one of them was built in Port Jefferson. Brewster attended Port Jefferson Elementary school. The house is located on Jones Ave, in the Village of Port Jefferson was built Circa 1838-1899.
