Earl L. Vandermeulen High School students Dunia Karzai (orchestra, violin), Alden Mohacsi (bass vocalist, chorus) and Gabrielle Stark (orchestra, violin) have been selected to participate in the New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education All-County Music Festival. They will be performing at Connetquot High School on Nov. 13 and Hauppauge High School on Nov. 21 and 22. The students were selected along with others from across Suffolk County on a competitive basis, with NYSSMA scores as the main criteria along with teacher recommendations. The Port Jefferson School District congratulates Dunia, Alden and Gabrielle on their outstanding musical achievements.
