Man Slashed Outside Of Coram Apartment Complex: PD
The man was taken to St. Charles in Port Jefferson for treatment of his injuries, Suffolk police said.
PORT JEFFERSON, NY — A man was slashed by an assailant outside of a Coram apartment complex early on Friday morning, Suffolk police said.
The man had been sitting in a car outide of the North Isle Apartments on Gibbs Road at about 4 a.m. when he was approached by the assailant, and when he rolled down the car window, he was slashed with a sharp object, according to police.
He was taken to St. Charles Hospital for treatment of his injuries, police said.

It was the second incident involving an attack in the area within a day.
In nearby Gordon Heights, a man was pistol whipped and robbed by three assailants in Gordon early Thursday, police said.

He was approached on West Yaphank Road at about 12:30 a.m. by three men, and one of them struck him in the face with a handgun, according to police. The armed assailant ended up taking his jacket, but his wallet had fallen out of it, police said, adding that the trio then left the scene.
It was not immediately clear if the man required medical attention.
No arrests have been made either case.
