Here are the top stories in Port Jefferson today:
- A Nassau man drove into the water in Port Jefferson on Friday night. First responders said he suffered a medical emergency while driving and lost control of his vehicle. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities ask anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392. (Port Jefferson Patch)
- Comsewogue High School students prepared a special homecoming for Jair Lopez, Class of 2022, who became a United States Marine on Dec. 2. He was welcomed home by his friends and teachers. Lopez thanked his teachers and the school community for supporting his dreams and pointing him in the right direction. (TBR News Media)

- Port Jefferson Window Contest is sizzling! Various businesses in the village are displaying creative holiday decorations to participate in the 2022 contest.
