Teenage Girl Killed In Hit-And-Run: Police
She was walking across the road when she was hit by a vehicle and killed: police.
PORT JEFFERSON STATION, NY —A teenage girl was killed in a hit-and-run Saturday night in Port Jefferson Station, and Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating.
Jenna Perez, 17, of Selden, was crossing Nesconset Highway southbound, approximately 300 feet west of Terryville Road, when she was hit by a vehicle believed to be travelling westbound on Nesconset Highway at 9:25 p.m., police said. The driver drove off, police said.
Perez was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
