On May 7 1919, Maria Eva Duarte de Peron was born in Argentina. She was the second wife of Argentine President Juan Peron and served as the First Lady of Argentina from 1946 until her death in 1952. Eva was born in a small village in rural Argentina and was the youngest of 5 children. At the age of 15, she left home to pursue a career in film, stage, and radio in Buenos Aires. In 1944, Eva met her future husband, Colonel Juan Peron at a charity event and the two married the following year. The rest is history.
