BREAKING: Products containing possible foreign matter were shipped to locations in New York.

A Queens-based business is recalling about 2,330 pounds of chicken tender products that may be contaminated with plastic and misbranded, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced Tuesday.
The breaded chicken breast tenders were produced at Schreiber Processing Corp. in Maspeth on Dec. 8 and packaged on Dec. 9.
The items being recalled are the 10-pound boxes containing “Meal Mart BATTERED & BREADED CHICKEN BREAST TENDERS.” These products bear item code 03-CTB, production code 0246 and establishment number “P-787” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The contamination issue was first discovered after the company received a customer complaint. No injuries or illnesses related to these products have been reported. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider, FSIS says.
