PORT WASHINGTON, NY--As one of the larger communities on Long Island, there's always something going on in Port Washington. Check out these three local Facebook pages you should follow.

  • Port Washington Mama: Founded by Amanda Khalil, a Port Washington mother, the page's purpose is to share news of family-friendly activities and events. Restaurants, party spaces, tot classes, "momtrepreneurs" and more are covered.
  • Port Washington PAL: The Facebook page of the Port Washington branch of the Police Activities League. The organization offers competitive youth sports such as t-ball, baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, basketball and flag football. The page shares news of upcoming programs and more. With summer on the way, there's no better time to sign your little athlete up to compete.
  • Bluetique: Bluetique is a women's boutique in Port Washington, offering clothes for girls as well. The business recently participated in an effort to raise money for leukemia research. It uses its Facebook page to share store-related news as well as new featured products.
