PORT WASHINGTON, NY—As one of the larger communities on Long Island, there's always something going on in Port Washington. Check out these three local Facebook pages you should like or groups you should request access to.

  • The True Port Washington: A discussion-oriented group for those who live in Port Washington. The group aims to be a platform for the town's denizens to share or catch up on news, reach out to have questions answered, keep up to date on local events and more. The group is very active, with several posts a day. Send the group's owner a request if you'd like to join it.
  • Port Washington Adult Activities Center: The organization features an active environment for adults who want to meet others, take classes, go on trips and more. Some activities offered are dance, yoga, tai chi and other fitness classes; painting, ceramics, sewing and knitting; basic computer skills; card, board games and bingo; music and other cultural arts programs; shopping and other trips to theater, museums & other social outings.
